Barbara Drees Jones, marketing vice president for the Drees Co., was installed Friday as the 2010 president of the Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky . She succeeds Paul Bogenschutz, chairman of Ashley Construction, who will remain on the board of directors.
Other officers installed Friday include: Bob Schroder, Arlinghaus Builders, vice president; Bill Butt, Bill’s Remodeling & Electric Inc., treasurer; and Adam Chaney, Terrace Holdings LLC.
Other board members include: Tony Berling, Triple Crown Developers; Marty Grosser, Grosser & Co. Remodeling; James Kegley, B.O.L.D. Homes Inc.; Dan Martin, Dan Martin Construction; and Chris Wulfeck, Cornerstone Group.
The Associates Council board includes: Rob Stone, C.K. Ash Insurance, president; Mark Hubbard, Dragonfly Stained Glass Innovations LLC, vice president; Mike Eubanks, National City, secretary; and representatives Roberta Tanno, ESSROC Cement Corp.; Brad Austing, Towne Properties; JoEllen Thompson, Star Building Materials; and Ginger Walthers, Nielsen & Sherry.
The Home Builders Association also named its annual award recipients at the installation ceremony, held at the Drees Pavilion in Devou Park. They include:
• Donald M. Weideman Lifetime Achievement Award: Ralph Drees, Kenton County judge-executive;
• Builder of the Year: Barbara Drees Jones, Drees Co.;
• Associate of the Year: Mark Hubbard, Dragonfly Stained Glass;
• Community Service Award: Gil Whitacre, Bayer Becker Engineering.
The Home Builders Association, headquartered in Erlanger, covers 12 Northern Kentucky counties and represents more than 1,250 homebuilding firms.
