Ghent Generating Station

Bayer Becker continues to provide comprehensive mapping services for Tetra Tech, Inc. at the Ghent Power Generation Station. Our firm was engaged to verify construction progress related to roadways, stormwater infrastructure, basin development, and material quantities across the site.

To meet the demands of this dynamic and active construction environment, Bayer Becker deployed a high-precision unmanned aerial system (UAS). This technology has enabled efficient and accurate mapping of a 40+ acre material stockpile and a 220-acre active landfill operation. The UAS approach proved especially effective in capturing detailed topographic data over highly irregular and nonuniform surfaces, which would have been difficult and hazardous to survey using traditional methods.
