The City of Hamilton, OH took a huge step forward in their economic development efforts with the Hamilton Enterprise Park, creating hundreds of jobs and increasing the local tax base. It is one of the largest industrial parks in the Greater Cincinnati region, spanning 265 acres. The project's goal was to deliver a shovel-ready site that would provide the City the opportunity to work with prospective businesses, offering competitive real estate and utility rates. This vision and hard work were realized when they welcomed the relocation of Spanish-owned Saica Pack’s 300,000 SF, $72 million manufacturing facility to the site.

Working directly with the City of Hamilton, Bayer Becker’s surveyors and civil design team provided a boundary survey for the massive property and were able to relocate the existing sanitary main, stormwater channel, and detention basin to make way for the proposed industrial development. The team coordinated the channel design with the environmental consultant to satisfy ACOE permit requirements. The sanitary work consisted of the relocation of 1,100 LF of 15” main.  The new detention basin provides 10.8 acre-feet of storage serving a 280-acre watershed. To avoid a lengthy review period, the basin was intentionally designed to fall beneath ONDR’s DAM Permit requirements to meet the industrial project’s schedule demands.
