Bayer Becker teamed with Brown & Bills Architects for the renovation of the Ohio Welcome Center and Rest Area along I-70 eastbound and westbound in Preble County, near New Paris, OH. Significant improvements to the 35 acre site were made, including rehabilitation of curbs, reconstruction of handicap ramps, resurfacing of the pavement, and relocation of sidewalks. A Blue Star Memorial Highway monument area was included in the site improvements, to pay tribute to the US armed forces. The eastbound facility was also renovated to expand restrooms and improve lighting.
