Project Highlight
Phase One of Greentree Road’s multi phase design included the widening of an existing two lane roadway for a center two-way left turn lane. The project also involved the modification of the existing vertical profile of the roadway to improve sight distance for the adjacent properties. The project limits begin just east of Shaker Run Boulevard and extend to the east of Meadow View Lane.
In Phase One, the roadway was lowered by as much as eight feet to improve the vertical profile which increased the sight distance for numerous adjoining property owners. Several drive profiles, a culvert, and storm pipes were also impacted and modified accordingly. A retaining wall design was also incorporated into the project as a result of the lowering of the roadway.
Phase Two of the Greentree Road project included the widening of an existing two lane roadway for a left turn lane at Greentree Meadows Drive and a left turn lane at Indiangrass Drive. The existing vertical profile of the roadway was also modified as part of Phase Two. Similar to Phase One, the vertical profile of Phase Two improved sight distance along Greentree Road which also impacted several drive profiles, two culverts, and storm pipes.
As part of our role as designer, Bayer Becker attended several progress review meetings and coordinated with the County to determine specific project needs. Design and construction of Greentree Road Phase One is complete while Phase Two design is complete and awaiting construction.
