Project Highlight
When they wanted to transform the old Western Row Golf Course in Mason into a 125 lot residential subdivision M/I Homes didn’t have to look far for their design consultant. Bayer Becker’s experience with both residential design and with the City of Mason’s design regulations and guidelines made the choice simple. Once completed, Alverta’s 125 single family lots will feature a mix of two-story homes, ranches and M/I’s new neo-traditional collection with garages at the rear of the home accessed through an alleyway. Transforming the golf course, while still maintaining alleyway access, was accomplished through detailed site grading. Bayer Becker’s utility design for the project tied into the local, existing utilities. However, design for the waterline had to be coordinated with the Greater Cincinnati Water Works.
The development will also include 12 acres of community green space, an eight acre community park, basins at the front and rear of the development, and tree-lined streets. Site design for the project also includes a potential, future adjacent commercial portion that will encompass the remainder of the golf course.
