Project Highlight
The Digital Futures Complex is the first step in development of the Uptown Innovation Corridor. The $200 million development will feature a 10 story, 250 guest room hotel, office buildings, and parking. With pedestrian safety and engagement at the forefront, the development will prioritize greenspace, public art, and offer different programmable spaces for music events or lectures.
Currently under construction, UC Digital Futures will be the first building developed. With approximately 190,000 square feet, the facility will bring together science and technology with interdisciplinary research focusing on artificial intelligence, sensors, and informatics. the buliding podium will include a 1,350 space parking garage. Construction completion for the UC Digital Futures building is planned for Fall 2022.
Bayer Becker provided land surveying, civil engineering, and transportation engineering services for this very complex and exciting project. The design team employed creative stormwater solutions ot meet present needs, while also accounting for future development.
