Please Welcome The Fourth President of Bayer Becker
Bayer Becker is proud to announce that after more than 29 years with the firm, Etta Reed will succeed Jay Bayer as the firm's President beginning January 1, 2024. She will lead the ownership team of eight principals and Jay will remain as a principal with the firm, transitioning to Director.
Jay Bayer explains, “Etta is a well-respected leader within the development community who is a true champion of her profession, her team, and her community. For the next chapter of Bayer Becker, we wanted someone who exemplifies who we are as a company. Someone who demonstrates our core values of service, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement. Someone to lead Bayer Becker into the future. Etta clearly embodies all of this and more.”
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Etta joined Bayer Becker in 1994. A licensed engineer, she developed the transportation engineering department within the firm and played a pivotal role in opening the Oxford, OH office. In 2000, she was named a principal and has served as the vice president of transportation engineering since then.
"To everyone who I have worked with over the years – Thank you for allowing me to work for you, learn from you and be your friend. For those I have not had the opportunity to work with – I look forward to meeting you and learning more about how Bayer Becker can assist you in your ventures.
Our success is contingent upon your success. I look forward to leading our team of talented and passionate professionals in making all of us successful."
