John Cody, PLA, LEED AP

John joined Bayer Becker in 2012, bringing over 14 years of design consulting, project and staff management experience.  He currently serves as the Director of Landscape Architecture for the company.  Shortly after joining the firm, John became an Associate and is part of the leadership team at Bayer Becker.  As the director of the department, he is responsible for promoting and expanding the company’s Landscape Architecture practice, business development, allocation of staff resources, quality control review of work products, and managing projects.  He has worked closely with both private and public sector clients on projects of varying size and scale.  He boasts both an economics and landscape architecture degree which enables him to strike the delicate balance between the creative and practical aspects of his projects.  His strength lies in communication, organization and relationships.  When he’s not at the office, you can find John on a local high school or club soccer field teaching his players life lessons through the sport of soccer.
