Project Highlight
The Wright Memorial Public Library has undergone a comprehensive $5 million renovation project, supported by a combination of public funding and private donations, to revitalize its facilities and services. Spearheaded by Dayton architects LWC Inc. and construction firm Danis Construction, the yearlong endeavor has resulted in significant improvements across the library’s infrastructure, accessibility, and community engagement offerings.
Key enhancements include upgraded disability access, a reimagined children’s section, and expanded meeting spaces tailored to diverse community needs. With modernized HVAC systems, a new roof, and improved Wi-Fi connectivity, the library not only ensures a comfortable environment but also underscores its commitment to sustainability and technological advancement. Additionally, the introduction of a contactless holds pickup locker, accessible even outside regular hours, and the transformation of the basement into dedicated spaces for children and teens reflect the library’s forward-thinking approach to modernizing services and fostering lifelong learning opportunities for all patrons.
