Project Highlight
Bayer Becker prepared traffic signal warrant analyses of four intersections within the SR 32 and Bells Lane project study area including the intersection of SR 32 and Mt. Carmel Tabasco Road/Bells Lane, the intersection of SR 32 and Old SR 74, the intersection of Mt. Carmel Tabasco Road and Old SR 74/Aicholtz Road, and the intersection of Old SR 74 and Old Aicholtz Road/Summerside Road. The warrants were evaluated using traffic count data provided by ODOT.
Bayer Becker also completed the design of the four traffic signals, two of which were span wire installations and two mast arm traffic signals. Design included the layout of the proposed traffic signal equipment while accommodating the existing traffic signal equipment and operations, signal strain pole and mast arm calculations, and determining signal timing plans using calculations and intersection capacity analysis (Highway Capacity Software). In addition to the signal plans, Bayer Becker also prepared construction cost estimates for each proposed signal.
