Bayer Becker was proud to provide site design services for the City of Fairfield’s Public Safety Memorial. The design for the memorial features bronze statues of a fireman, police officer and an emergency medical technician holding a child surrounding the United States flag. The memorial’s design also includes a garden, benches and pavers featuring names of sponsors.
During the design process, the decision was made to move the memorial to a smaller location on site to better match its scale. Even with the location change, Bayer Becker’s design team was able to meet the project’s deadline. In addition to providing site design and the master plan for landscaping, Bayer Becker attended meetings with the Fairfield staff, other project consultants and the artist to ensure all ideas and concerns concerning location and the setting surrounding the statues were heard.
