Project Highlight
Revitalizing a site that was used for dumping of excess fill material was one of the challenges Bayer Becker faced with Peter Cremer North America’s facility in Cincinnati. To help control costs, Bayer Becker’s design utilized the fill material that had accumulated on the site over time. The grading of the site was vital to ensure future tie-ins to an adjacent existing rail line would function as required by the rail line operators. Grading, utilities and driveway locations had to be coordinated with a City of Cincinnati roadway project, which was being designed and constructed simultaneously to the Peter Cremer project. Bayer Becker’s landscape architecture design included a rain garden in the center of the employee parking lot. The rain garden provides both landscaping for the parking lot and post construction water quality treatment.
