Project Highlight
The City of Trotwood entered into a contract with Bayer Becker Inc. for design work for the Wolf Creek sanitary trunk sewer replacement. Bayer Becker responsibilities included evaluating existing sewer drawings for accuracy, this included field work and dye testing with city staff to confirm pipe locations and connectivity, identified necessary easements and performed associated deed and records work, prepared engineers estimate, prepared OEPA Permit To Install (PTI) and prepared design drawings for replacement of existing sanitary sewer along the north side of Wolf Creek with a new parallel 18-inch sanitary trunk sewer along the south side of Wolf Creek for 1,600’ between S. Broadway St. and Wolf Creek Pike, eliminating 2 sewer crossings of Wolf Creek.
Design work also identified the need for construction of a new Wolf Creek sewer crossing and a redirection of flow for portions of the sewer basin south of Wolf Creek.
Contract work included professional assistance, construction administration, field observation, shop drawing review, pay estimate review including preparation and submission of Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) grant disbursement forms.
