Project Highlight
Bayer Becker designed a 12,500 linear feet sanitary sewer main extension through the proposed Shaker Run Subdivision and the existing Shaker Run Golf Course to provide sewer services to over 4,000 undeveloped acres in Warren County. Contracted by the Shaker Run Investment, LLC, Bayer Becker worked with the Butler County Water & Sewer Department to define the service area, estimate ultimate design flows, and size the sewer. The final alignment of the 24” diameter main was chosen to minimize the installation depth which exceeded 30 feet in some instances. Special backfill requirements were specified where the sewer trench was anticipated to be located within the zone of influence of future building foundations. In addition, the sanitary main crosses three, large diameter, high pressure gas transmission mains owned by Texas Gas Company. Bayer Becker worked closely with the Texas Gas Company to verify the horizontal and vertical location of the mains at proposed crossings.
