Project Highlight
Everest Rehabilitation Hospital is well under way and is anticipated to be finished in 2021. The $23 million hospital will sit on 5.09 acres, will house 36 private bedrooms and bathrooms and will encompass 40,000 square feet. Features of the hospital will include: inpatient and outpatient therapy gyms, on outdoor mobility courtyard for therapeutic use, HydroWorx aqua therapy, training apartment with kitchen and bath, several family gathering areas, an open dining halll, in-house dialysis and in-house pharmacy. The hospital will be physician led by a team of rehabilitation therapists who focus on increasing strength and endurance, and improving patient’s quality of life.
The unique aspect about Cincinnati’s newest hospital is that all Everest hospitals feature an identical layout. While that gave a strong starting point, the Bayer Becker team had to adapt the design to meet local requirements and site needs. Our team was also able to make design suggestions based upon local construction techniques to provide cost savings when compared to prior construcftion projects Everest Hospitals has completed. Bayer Becker also provided due diligence research, including zoning and comprehensive plan review, utility research, development fee estimating and site analysis, to Everest’s project team who are based out of Texas.
The project site is located between existing interstate, I-75, and future development corridor , Cox Road. The Bayer Becker’s site design included drainage permitting through Butler County and ODOT, for drainage to the I-75 right-of-way. The project will also require construction, the extension of public utilities, on a portion of the future Cox Road which required coordination with Liberty Township and Butler County’s Engineer’s Office. Everest Hospital will be the first development in this area, which requires to have primary access to Bethany Road, but also be flexible for the future expansion of Cox Road.
