Project Highlight
A comprehensive planning study completed by Bayer Becker and other consultants for the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District will help guide development of the County’s surrounding area for years to come.
The planning study included public meetings, a market analysis study, an evaluation of existing and future transportation, economic development, and environmental conditions, needs, and opportunities in the Milford/Rivers Edge areas. The study identified preliminary recommendations including roadway improvements, access management, sidewalk construction, and environmental opportunities.
One location in particular for improvement is the US 50/SR 131/Milford Parkway intersection. Bayer Becker is currently providing design services for those intersection improvements including roadway widening, bridge widening, stream mitigation, retaining wall design, and signalization.
A project of this size and scope necessitates educating and involving the public. As part of our project management, Bayer Becker conducted open house meetings with the public. The meetings allowed Bayer Becker to explain the project to the interested parties as well as hear public concerns, comments, and information with regards to the project and study area. In addition to the public, Bayer Becker communicated and coordinated with various regulatory agencies, municipalities and sub contractors. These meetings helped involve all the relevant players and ensured all comments would be heard and taken into consideration.
