Project Highlight
Multiple businesses along Dixie Highway in Park Hills had to be accounted for in the design of improvements to the heavily travelled roadway. The project consisted of the creation of islands and curb cuts along with new sidewalks along Dixie Highway. Bayer Becker also coordinated the design and installation of decorative lighting for the new sidewalk and new storm sewer. In addition to the sidewalks, new crosswalks and pedestrian signals were installed at the intersection of north and south Arlington and Dixie Highway. New overhead lighting for the project also had to be coordinated with Duke Energy. In addition to Duke Energy, Bayer Becker coordinated design with KYTC, including encroachment permitting because of the project’s location within the right of way.
