Project Highlight
Bayer Becker’s experience with design for both an existing project as well as future development is on display with SUN Behavioral Health’s new facility in Northern Kentucky. This facility will focus on behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment. The 13 acre development is part of the Circle Port V – Corporex Parks of KY, Inc/Tewes Business Park and will consist of the development of a Health Facility covering 155,043 SF over two stories. The project site design also included design of a shared detention facility at the west end of the site to provide storm-water control for both the NKY/Sun Behavioral site as well as future development of the Corporex land. The basin is designed as an extended dry detention pond, which also provides storm water quality for the sites.
The project site featured streams that required Army Corps of Engineer permitting and an existing 90” sewer running through the property. Bayer Becker’s design also had to account for 130 feet of existing fill material from previous embankment. Bayer Becker coordinated design for the project with multiple clients, both locally as well as clients in New Jersey and Utah.
