The Kenton County Library is an example of Bayer Becker’s ability to provide site design solutions for a tight urban environment. Located in Covington, the 64,700 square foot library is surrounded by existing development as well as heavily travelled roadways on three sides. Design for the site included the removal of a loading dock and the introduction of sustainable design elements including rain gardens and porous pavers. The design was phased to allow the library to remain open during design and construction.

Design coordination was vital for Cincinnati Children’s newest facility in Green Township. Children’s new facility sits next to the Christ Hospital’s new building, which Bayer Becker provided design services for as well. Providing design for both buildings simultaneously enabled Bayer Becker to maintain both projects schedule. For example, if Children’s design called for a change in their building, Bayer Becker was able to seamlessly make design adjustments on the adjacent site, allowing the projects to continue on schedule.
The story of Notre Dame Academy’s (“NDA”) “Field of Dreams” is unique. NDA is an all girls’ high school that is 100 years old. Until the new field opened last year, at no time in NDA’s history did it have an athletic field. The lack of a field caused significant issues for every administrator, coach, parent and student involved in outdoor sports.

Project Principal
Established in 1899 Twin Towers combines the charm of historic buildings with innovative programs. Bayer Becker was selected to provide multiple design services for the retirement living facility’s recent facility addition and garden trail. The project included the addition of a new nursing facility, replacing an outdated facility on the existing campus and also included the design and creation of a garden trail for the residents. The Garden trail area was created prior to construction on the addition, which will sit on the site’s current park.

Monroe Logistics Center is an 82 acre industrial project, expandable to approximately 200 acres, for large industrial warehouse buildings. The first phase of the project included the development of the land for two buildings of 721,005 sq. ft. and 553,338 sq. ft. respectively.
<p>With your experience, insight and improvement suggestions to our master plan, the location of the complex was repositioned to optimize the access for the school, save trees, and to best meet the needs of our neighbors all while meeting our financial goals. Your well prepared presentations in the public approval process gave reassurance to all of the stakeholders that this would be a great project.</p>
